Kelleys Island

Ohio may not be the first place that comes to mind when considering mass glacier movement, but hidden on Kellys Island in Lake Erie lies a park showcasing the remarkable wonders of glacial grooves. To protect and preserve this historical landmark, Axcess was commissioned to design a pedestrian bridge, enabling visitors to walk directly over the grooves without causing any harm to the site or its history. Axcess selected pultruded FRP planking for the bridge design, ensuring both the durability to withstand pedestrian loads and the creation of a visually stunning landmark bridge that enhances the park’s overall appeal.
